Beef Rib Roast with Yorkshire Pudding: A Must-eat Holiday Recipe

Are you craving a delicious and healthy recipe for the holiday season? Try this recipe for Beef Rib Roast with Yorkshire Pudding and you’ll for sure love it! Learn how to cook it. Here’s how.

This recipe’s ingredients should be prepared beforehand: 1 (6 to 8 pound) beef rib roast (2 to 4 ribs) with the small end chine (back)-bone removed; 6 cloves of garlic, minced; 1 teaspoon of cracked black pepper; 1 1/2 teaspoons of dried thyme; and Yorkshire pudding.

Heat the oven to 350°F. Mix thyme, garlic, and pepper and press them into the beef roast. In a shallow frying pan, place the roast fat side up. Insert an ovenproof meat thermometer, where the tip should be in the centre of the thickest part of the beef. It should not rest within the fat nor touch the bone. Do not cover it, and do not add water to it. Roast it for 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 hours in a 350°F oven for medium rare, but for a more cooked piece of meat, it should be roasted for 2 3/4 to 3 hours. Take it out when the meat thermometer is at 135°F for medium rare and at 150°F for average (medium). Place it in foil and let it stand for 20 minutes. The temperature will rise by 10°F until it reaches 145°F for medium (average) rare and 160°F for average. Then cut the roast into slices. Season it with salt and serve with the Yorkshire pudding. It makes eight to ten servings.

Serve immediately! Have a Happy Holiday!
