Have A Healthy Holiday Season!

Are you planning to serve a holiday buffet more than a dessert? Then you must try preparing this salad recipe which will give you a great healthy holiday season – the cabbage salad!

It has been a tradition to eat greens, especially on New Year’s Day. It will lead you into a prosperous year. Not only that, aside from being inexpensive, cabbage is healthy, tasty, and suitable to your diet. To serve this healthy salad recipe, you must consider not only the types of ingredients, but also the amount of the dressing ingredients.

Here’s how to prepare the cabbage salad: Preparation time will take one hour and 20 minutes. The ingredients are: 1 head cabbage, shredded; 1 small green pepper and 1 piece each of small green, red, and yellow pepper (all must be seeded and sliced); 2 stalks of celery that was chopped; 2 large carrots, peeled and shredded; 1/4 cup of diced onions; 1/3 cup of red wine vinegar; 1/4 cup of olive oil; 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar; 1/4 teaspoon of salt; and 1/4 teaspoon of freshly–ground black pepper. After all these ingredients are prepared, get a clean large bowl. Then, in the bowl, mix the shredded cabbage, green peppers, red peppers, yellow peppers, celery, carrots, and onions. Next, add and mix together the remaining ingredients. After mixing all the remaining ingredients, pour it over the cabbage salad. Lastly, blend to coat well.

After the preparation is done, refrigerate the cabbage salad for at least 1 hour or preferably as long as overnight. You can make 8 to 10 servings.
