Have a Try with Chocolate Eggnog Truffles!

Bring out the excitement of the holiday season with your candy recipes! Why not try new and irresistible Chocolate Eggnog Truffles!

Chocolate Eggnog Truffles are made from eggnog, rum flavouring, and nutmeg blended with creamy chocolate. Here are the ingredients: 1/3 cup of prepared eggnog; 1/4 cup 'Land O Lakes' butter; ½ teaspoon of rum flavouring; 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg; 1 (11.5 ounce) package (2 cups) milk chocolate chips; powdered sugar; 12 ounces of vanilla-flavoured candy coating (almond bark); and ground nutmeg, if desired.

After preparing all the ingredients, follow these procedures: Line a large baking sheet with waxed paper and set aside. Combine the eggnog, butter, rum flavouring, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg in a 2-quart saucepan. Then, cook over medium-low heat until the butter is melted. Add chocolate chips and continue cooking, stirring constantly until the chips are melted and mixture are smooth. Afterwards, cover it and refrigerate until it becomes firm. Dust hands with powdered sugar and work quickly while shaping the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place the balls into the prepared baking sheet and refrigerate until firm. Meanwhile, melt the candy coating in a deep 1-quart saucepan over a low heat. Then stir until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Place truffles one at a time into the candy coating. Use a small spoon to coat the truffles and immediately remove and place them into waxed paper. Sprinkle with nutmeg and repeat with the remaining truffles. Let cool for 30 minutes.

Keep refrigerated in a container with a tight-fitting cover up to 2 weeks. You can make up to three dozen candies.
